rainwater harvesting

Our rainwater harvesting systems collect rainwater from the roof through guttering and downpipes and store it in a holding thans buried underground. The stored water is utilised within the building for applications such as flushing toilets and in washing machines and is also used outside. As a result of using ‘harvested’ water for these applications the mains water consumption can be reduced by up to 50%, significantly lowering water bills.

Rainwater harvesting systems also reduces the flow of water to surface water drains making them excellent Sustainable Urban Drainage (SUDs) solutions. Our systems can improve the overall BREEAM performance of a building and can achieve additional credits under the Code for Sustainable Homes.

From April 2010 Part G of the Building Regulations also requires all new homes and conversions to meet new water efficiencies. Our rainwater harvesters can significantly reduce the potable water use and may be required if you are proposing high flow power showers or larger than average baths.
