photovoltaic solar panels

Since the introduction of Fee-In Tariffs (FITs) in April 2010 the cost effectiveness of Photovoltaic (PV) Panels has been radically improved.

PVs benefit from a generous tariff paid for the electricity they produce. This means PVs not only contribute towards improving the SAP or SBEM rating of your building but actually generate a significant income for the owner of the panels and provide free electricity for the building occupier. At sustainable Building Technologies we offer a number of options to ensure your development makes the most economical use of PV technology.

Photovoltaic panels generate electricity from light and roughly 40% of buildings are deemed suitable. To avoid costly errors we will ensure PV panels are the correct technology for your project by considering the positioning, predicted generation and panel type etc. We offer a supply and fit service and the system will be signed off by MicroGeneration Scheme (MCS) professionals to ensure you benefit from the Feed-In Tariff.

For certain projects we can also offer a no cost option were the PV panels are fitted for free in exchange for the FIT. This can significantly reduce the extra cost a developer will have to incur to comply with Part L of the new Building Regulations.

Please contact our team to discuss the use of PVs in your project.
